How the Business Passport Works
Any business — software or not — turns its real work into a verified passport. The Trust Score behind it is computed from verifiable signals, never self-reported data. This page documents the exact formula.
The Formula
Trust Score =
25% × Verified Activity
25% × KYC Identity Verification
20% × Business Stage Progression
10% × Document Completeness
15% × External Validation
Maximum score: 100. Scores update automatically after each KYC event, integration sync, or stage advancement.
Component Breakdown
Verified Activity
Recent, consistent real work — evidence that fits your business. Software connects GitHub/Figma/Notion; a restaurant, shop, or brand verifies Google Maps, sales, a licence, or registration. Any industry can earn it.

KYC Identity Verification
Identity confirmed via our KYC provider (Didit). Score is binary: 25 points if approved, 0 if pending or rejected. Data is processed under PDPA-compliant data processor agreement.
| ID verified (approved) | +25 |
| Not verified | +0 |
Business Stage Progression
Reflects verified advancement through TorYod's 5-stage framework. Each stage requires criteria to be met before advancing — this score cannot be gamed by self-reporting.
| Stage: Seeking (funded/deploying) | +20 |
| Stage: Traction (real users) | +15 |
| Stage: Building (active development) | +10 |
| Stage: Validated (idea confirmed) | +5 |
| Stage: Idea (pre-validation) | +0 |
Document Completeness
Business description quality and uploaded supporting documents (pitch deck, demo, etc.).
| Description ≥ 300 characters | +6 |
| Description ≥ 100 characters | +3 |
| Uploaded documents (up to +4) | +4 |
External Validation
Peer reviews, partner endorsements, and investor confirmations collected through the platform. Capped at 15 to prevent gaming.
| Community reviews and endorsements | +0–15 |
Trust Tiers
Multi-Track Verification
TorYod supports four verification tracks so non-technical founders are not penalized. Each track uses a different primary signal source for the Activity component:
- Technical — GitHub commit history
- Design — Figma file activity
- Product — Notion roadmap updates
- Business — Revenue evidence & customer records
Data & Privacy (PDPA)
